Flightplan regularly carry out a safety audit of approved operators and carefully select from those matching the clients needs.
At Flightplan, we never, ever compromise on safety. It is our number one priority. Before we use a selected operator we carry out a safety audit to provide a comprehensive overview of their operation and of their aircraft. To provide this level of satisfaction we carefully assess information provided by the Civil Aviation Authority, the Registrar of Companies and other official sources. As a result of this evaluation, we only select approved companies who operate their aircraft in accordance with the appropriate national Aviation Authority regulations and in compliance with approved maintenance programmes. For each operator we routinely carry out the following Key Audit Points and update these prior to flight:-

- Verification of aircraft registration and country of jurisdiction
- Date of registration
- Year of manufacture
- Serial number
- Ownership and status of ownership
- Certificate of airworthiness category
- Certificate of airworthiness currency and due dates
- Maximum certified weight limitations
- Insurance type
- Insurance minimum cover

- Company ownership
- Registered and operating addresses
- Directors and shareholders
- Liquidity
- Available company history and year of incorporation
- Checks against the European Commission Regulation 910 - Register of Banned Operators
- The status of official company document filing

- Fully updated country status search and report compiled by the UK Foreign Office
- Airport category and licensing status
- Runway status - category, dimensions and lighting
